Another CVS2 rant

So far, all is fine with my K-Kyo/Rock/Hibiki. I can say that I’ve improved quite a bit as far as character basics go. K-groove, however, I seem to become some JD freak recently. I have finally gotten back the timing for JD and more. I can now JD fireball supers (the whole thing) on reflexes. Overall, compared to last time, I’ve become an a lot more careful player. I do not make wild moves, rush down on raged/stockbreaked people etc and I know what to look out for for most characters.

Roll Cancel is still a bitch. It will always be a bitch. But now I have JD as MY bitch. Finally I can go around saying ‘hey I’m pretty good at JD’. Last time I am a hell of a random JD who spam and not know wtf is happening to me. Now I can spam JD, watch for my opponent and see if he does anything. JD is so damn fun.

P-groove seems to be a hit here. Oddly, some of the A-groove people I know are getting really good at P-groove. In fact one of them is soooo good and parrying that…damn…it’s getting really really annoying. Finally, I’m getting P-groove experience. But seriously though, Parrying is really really a pain in the ass. Probably worse than RC. That guy parried my blows into combo->super like 5 times in the 8 times I played with him. That’s like 27 matches, parried into super 5 times. The percentage may be small actually, 5 times in 27 matches is already awesome. Every game, as long as his bar is full, I have hesitate to press a button. What if he parries into super? This guy doesn’t parry blindly btw, all his parries are REAL parries…parries that tell me “Hey I’ve expected that move”. It’s really frightening. P-groove is a good groove. Only problem with it is that it is hard to be consistant in your parrying.

Now back to KH2! JSS guide is going well, we can expect it to be in ign.com in 1 or 2 weeks time.
