[Random] emptiness

March 17, 2008

How fast time had passed. All the part-time work I gave myself (tour guide for japanese, EA play game marshall) have already ended. Not only that I have finally obtained an X360 and currently playing Assassin’s Creed. I expect to have it completed by tomorrow or Wednesday. The game is quite a drag after awhile, though I’m not saying I didn’t expect it.

I’m still waiting for the pictures of my experience with the japanese people to arrive before I start commenting. It was a great experience to get to talk with them…kinda boosted confidence level of using japanese language in conversations. Anyway, after all the trip, I didn’t realize how damn powerful girls are when it comes to shopping. They can survive without food, their legs have unlimited power, and at the end of the whole thing, they can still jump around with energy.

I wonder when I can bring myself back to practising kendo again. hmm…

自由の身になった!

March 2, 2008

Wow, I can’t believe its been 1 month since I blogged.

My attachment is finally over, and I’m now simply doing random recreational stuff and looking for random relief/short term jobs to pass time while waiting for NS. All I can say now is that I don’t think I want to type any lines of code anytime soon. I’m tired of coding after 3 years, of leading projects and sitting on my butt hammering at my keyboard.

People sure change over time. 3 years ago if you asked me “Do you want to be a programmer for life?” I would consider it a very tempting option. Now it’s different though. Anyway, my time in ER has been rather enjoyable, at the same time depressing. I have learnt alot there, not just about coding. Robin is a great person, and so is Jeff, James and the others. But my decision to leave ER is the decision mainly made by what I learnt in the 3 months.

That aside, I would like to congratulate Axel, Prin-chan, John for passing their JLPT3 tests and of course Hmr for his JLPT2.

Expect more updates to come soon, since I’m rather free now. Patapon is a great PSP game.
